- Description: Learning Services Coordinator 2020-2021 Position Overview The Peck School, a coed, K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, seeks a full-time Learning Services Coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. The Learning Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting teacher instruction, building positive relationships with families, and administering and overseeing academic interventions with students in grades K-4. This individual must have a keen diagnostic eye, able to identify specific learning challenges early on and able to create (and adapt) impactful interventions. Familiarity with relevant diagnostic assessments is essential, as well as an ability to maintain systems for documentation and the sharing of relevant information. The ideal candidate will be caring, creative, results-oriented, and deeply committed to helping each student succeed and grow. Because learning services span various constituencies and departments, communication skills both written and oral are imperative. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as an integral member of a learning support team, a master's degree in a relevant field, and certification as a reading specialist.
